The Rotary Club of Gold Coast was formed on 1 July 2011 by the merger of the Rotary Clubs of Surfers Paradise Central (1977) and Gold Coast Central (1985), two clubs with a proud history of service in the local area.

Based in Surfers Paradise on the Gold Coast, we enjoy great fellowship at our club meetings and stage memorable fund-raising events that support The Rotary Foundation, Polio Plus and a wealth of other causes such as:
  • The Homeless on the Gold Coast
  • Homes for  the Aged
  • Wounded Aussie Soldiers
  • The Gold Coast Regional Botanic Gardens
  • Local youth programs and tertiary scholarships
  • Sick Kids
  • 3rd World education
  • Disaster Relief
Working with our community partners, we make great things happen.

Signature Events and projects are part of our DNA - 'Bulls on the Beach' Rodeo, ROMAC Trivia Challenge, Charity Balls and Auctions, 'Bush to Beach' with McDonalds, Wounded Service Personnel holidays, Pride of Workmanship events and from  2017 - the Gold Coast Ramble !

MAKING A DIFFERENCE IN OUR LOCAL COMMUNITY

We provide quality, low cost accommodation for pensioners at our Rotary Village - 14 self contained units in a garden setting.

Our support for the Gold Coast Project for Homeless Youth, The Salvos and  Surfers Paradise Anglican Crisis Care assists the homeless.

Families of wounded Aussie service personnel enjoy all expenses paid holidays on the Gold Coast.

Our Rotary Shelter and interpretive signage enhance environmental education in the Gold Coast Regional Botanic Gardens.

Local youth benefit from our sponsorship for  Rotary seminars, international exchanges and science programs.  Our scholarships enable students from difficult circumstances to attend Griffith University.

Employees of local businesses are recognised by our pride of workmanship awards.

Sick children benefit through our support for Give Me 5 for Kids and the Ronald McDonald House.

Our support for the Australian Anti-Ice Campaign helps educate our youth about drugs.

MAKING A DIFFERENCE IN THE WORLD

Our club is a strong supporter of The Rotary Foundation, Rotary’s charity making a difference worldwide and Polio Plus, where the world is so close to eliminating polio.  The Rotary Malaria Vaccine Research Project also enjoys our support.

We are particularly passionate about giving sick kids in our region a chance through the Rotary Oceania Medical Aid for Children program.

Every year we sponsor a Family Survival Pack through Disaster Aid Australia.  These packs are air freighted to assist displaced families within hours of a disaster occurring.

Our sponsorships assist under-privileged children in Tanzania to receive education that they would not otherwise access.

Disadvantaged children in Cambodia and Laos benefit from our financial support.
