President’s Message

Our fourth meeting for 2020 saw 36 members and 9 guests welcome our newest Club members Dan Stevenson, Steve Beckett and Kiah Bastian, taking our membership to 68 active members.

Aldwyn Altuney aka The Media Queen shared the tools needed to gain free publicity.  Greg Bowler and David Baguley presented updates on our two international projects, a medical facility on Pentecost Island Vanuatu and a water project in Guatemala

David Baguley presented priorities for members to help make the Gold Coast Ramble on March 22 the best ever.

Our next dinner meeting is  Thursday March 19 from 6pm at Southport Golf Club, the Gold Coast Rotary “Homelessness to Housing” Forum with Guest Speaker Mona Nielsen, Chair of the Gold Coast Homelessness Network and the annual Gold Coast Homeless Connect event staged at Carrara Stadium every year on the first Wednesday in August. Mona will be sharing highlights of the Gold Coast Homelessness Symposium that was held last week. Mona will present the current status of homelessness on the Gold Coast, plans to address this and how Rotary can invest in this to make a real difference in this increasing crises. Bookings are now open at and close 6pm March 15.
